2021 Round up - Top 3 discoveries in the category of Beauty #CO3 (Part 2)

I usually play it safe when it comes to beauty products and stick to some tried and tested clean beauty brands. But there are a few amazing brands that we discovered this year that have now become a regular part of my bathroom shelf.

Therapy Oil by the Oil Village

Therapy Oil

One department that has definitely benefitted from staying at home is- haircare! I’ve never been regular at doing anything extra for my hair (like oil massages, hair spas etc)- its really hard to fit into a schedule where you need to rush to leave your home for work. But over this past year, when stepping out of the house has come to a stop, my head massage journey has begun! I’ve been using this therapy oil by The Oil Village, which is basically organic coconut oil infused with a blend of therapeutic herbs. The great part is that it has a neutral aroma, it’s non-sticky and easy to wash off. This huge bottle will last a while, and then some more - since it can be topped up with more coconut oil to get the same therapeutic benefits. Mine is still going strong- and this is something I got right at the beginning of the year.

You can check out this hair oil and the rest of the range of organic hair care products by The Oil Village on their Instagram page.

Organic make-up by Tinge by Sabrina

Concealer and lipstick by Tinge by Sabrina

I discovered this towards the end of the year when I wanted some basic make-up for Diwali - all the make-up that I had had long expired - thanks to the pandemic, all of it was just lying around unused for over 2 years. I’m not really much of a make-up person, I just like basic subtle stuff for occasional use. I’m so glad I discovered this homegrown brand that makes natural, vegan, paraben and sulphate free, cruelty-free make-up - which is catered to the Indian skin tone. I ordered some of their stuff just to try, and I’m so happy with the quality that this is now going to be my go-to make up brand! The best part is that you can check in with the brand on Instagram to check what would best suit your skin tone - and their advice is bang on.

You can order their products through their website and get in touch with them on instagram if you’re confused about what might suit you. Bonus for Bangalore peeps- you can even visit their store and make a customised lipstick!

Aloe Vera Gel by Deyga

Aloe Vera Gel

The aloe vera gel by Deyga is pure and preservative-free -all it contains is cold-pressed aloe vera extract and aloe vera hydrosol. You can leave it on overnight or just put it on your face for a while before your shower in the morning - which is what I have been doing. It works great as a simple pick-me-up for your skin. It’s non-sticky and instantly makes your skin feel soft and fresh. The fascinating thing about aloe vera is that it works based on what your skin needs - if you’re suffering from acne, it will help it heal; if you have dry skin, it will moisturise it; if your skin feels dull, it will make it feel fresh and rejuvenated. We’ve written more about this product and some other organic products by Deyga here.

You can order any of their organic skin care products on their website
