Looking for a reliable way to get some clean, fresh and healthy food on your plate? Check out I Say Organic! They deliver farm-fresh, organic and non-toxic fruits and vegetables sourced from farmers across the country. They also deliver organic grains, pulses, tea etc., making it a one-stop-shop to stock up supplies in your kitchen! Here is what we’ve tried and liked so far:
Fresh fruits and vegetables
We frequently order fruits and vegetables from I Say Organic. It turns out to be substantially more expensive than the vegetables available in the market (as most organic things are), but we feel it’s worth the extra expense for stuff that we consume raw – like fruits and salads. They only have organic, seasonal produce and sometimes you will find some interesting veggies here that you won’t find in regular grocery stores. The availability of products is limited though as things run out pretty quickly.
Kanji is an ancient Indian drink that is traditionally made by naturally fermenting seasonal black carrots and/ or beetroot with water, mustard and green chillies. The benefits of kanji are magnanimous – it keeps your gut healthy, is a great source of vitamin A and C and is also considered to be an anti-carcinogen.
It’s supposed to be fairly straight-forward to make at home – and you’ll find this available in most North Indian homes during the black carrot season. However, if you’re reluctant chefs like us, then you need a reliable source to get this from! We tried the carrot kanji and the beetroot kanji variation by I Say Organic. Both of these were really good and also have the added benefit of being completely organic! Overall, we prefer the carrot kanji over the beetroot – they use normal carrots and not black carrots though.
Masala Nimbu Paani Concentrate
We’re stocking up on refreshing drinks to sip on through the day in this heat – in the process, we ended up trying the masala nimbu paani concentrate by I Say Organic.
This concentrate contains organic lemon, jaggery, ginger, salt and mint. It has no additives or preservatives. All you need to do is pour a bit of this concentrate in a glass and top it up with chilled water and lots of ice to make a refreshing summer drink. It’s super convenient to make and is particularly helpful if you suddenly have guests over. The taste of jaggery is slightly overpowering though – so keep that in mind if you decide to try this out!
