Get hold of some healthy snacks from B&B’s Health Kitchen! B&B’s Health Kitchen prepares a range of gluten-free snacks (with no added sugar or preservatives) that are ideal for breakfast, post a work-out or to generally satiate mid-day hunger pangs.
Their products include freshly-baked whole wheat bread, healthy muffins, various nut butters, cookies, granola bars and energy bites. We tried the almond milk (naturally sweetened with dates), coconut butter and an assortment of ‘fitness bombs’. The coconut butter was not very exciting in terms of flavour and consistency- it was rock-hard when we got it and has to be microwaved before each use to get to a spreadable consistency. Overall, it was pretty disappointing. It will probably need to be used in some other recipes, but it definitely can’t be eaten as is or spread on toast. However, the almond milk was delicious! The dates added as a natural sweetener gives the milk a great flavour- a chilled glass of this milk goes really well with breakfast. The fitness bombs are easy to carry and great for a quick pick-me-up after some exercise!
